At Division of East Asian Studies,
Founded in 2008, Division of East Asian Studies is a new curriculum aimed at training future specialists
who will lead East Asia in the era of globalization in the 21st century.
This curriculum is run by international renowned scholars and faculty of this school,
and it is a truly internationalized curriculum consisting not only of domestic students
but also of outstanding students from all over the world.
The curriculum is planned to construct and stack expert knowledge on steady liberal arts and education.
Especially, through comprehensive understandings of East Asian Culture & History; Politics & Economics; Business & Management,
students will grow as experts on East Asia who possess superlative international competitiveness in undergraduate level.

By taking the courses required for one of the East Asian languages as well as a four-year curriculum in English,
students will acquire the qualities of a global leader.
① Characterization of Regional Research
System of the major is organized as East Asian Politics/Culture and Economics/Business generally focusing on East Asian regional research.
② Sense of Convergence
Compulsory completion of the basic subjects of social science for East Asian studies regardless of the major field of study
③ Sense of Regional Field
Various field visits and academic support systems are operated so that students can have abundant experience as local experts.

④ Sense of International Field
Bachelor's degree system is in place to attract outstanding foreign students and to interact with various international institutions.
